Each month, the Online Visual Artist Community holds an Art Competition. The top three winning images are displayed on the OVA forum's home page for a month, along with a link to a site of the artists' choice.
The first-place image is also featured in the OVA Winners Gallery.

The theme is: MACRO
Entries open July 1st and close on July 30th. Voting for the top 3, by member poll, will start on August 1st and close on August 31st.
Artists are strongly encouraged to include a statement for each entry.

| This is a painting done after I lost my dear Mother to cancer 2 years ago today. It was painted to show that even clowns have feelings. Most people in real life and on all the forums think of me as a clown because indeed that is my defense against my feelings. This is a self portrait made from a photo I took with my web cam and just added the clown paint. It is oil on copper 9"x 12" |
